Estate Microfinance Bank was licensed to operate as a Microfinance bank in December 2007, after been transformed from former Estate Community Bank Limited which was incorporated in September 2002 and commenced operation as a Community Bank in April 2003.

It started as a cooperative society of the Joshua Fellowship of the RCCG Dominion Cathedral and later grew into an investment company called Joshua Investment Limited which later transformed into a Community Bank in 2003, when we secured the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to operate as a community bank.

After the consolidation exercise that took place in the country ’s banking sector and the formation of other financial institution approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), it was later re-incorporated as Estate Microfinance Bank.
